"A coffee a day keeps the doctor away."
And I have proof that the above statement is true. Of course, a doctor and some medical tests were need to prove it, but after that it keeps the doctor away.
An avid coffee drinker was recently given a round of medical tests. They all came back in the "desirable" range. All of them. Blood pressure. Good cholesterol. Bad cholesterol. Triglycerides. BMI. All of it, great.
Doesn't that prove that coffee is good for you? I mean, what would those numbers be without coffee?
It is not worth the risk, keep drinking the coffee and keep the doctor away.

Are We Too Busy?
Are we too busy?
Do you think Jesus had a Franklin planner? OK, OK, obviously they were not invented yet and the company is owned by Mormons, so the answer is no. But, do you get the point? Were Abraham, Isaiah, Peter, Elijah, Paul, and Silas rushing about, keeping to their schedules, planning every fifteen minutes of every day, and reading books about how to be “highly effective”? Was Jesus doing this?
For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29
If we are to be conformed to His image, would this not include how we “plan” our days?
Then tidings of these things came unto the ears of the church which was in Jerusalem: and they sent forth Barnabas, that he should go as far as Antioch. Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord. For he was a good man, and full of the Holy Ghost and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul: And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch. Acts 11:22-26
Do we have time for such an unplanned plan?
I really wonder, are we so scheduled and planned and organized that we would not have time for a great working of God? I mean, really, what if He messed up your well laid plans?
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:2
Is it possible that all this planning and time management is not exactly what God would have for us? What if we took the time we spent developing and pouring over our planners and spent it meditating on the Word and seeking God? What would happen? God’s will would happen. I think.
These are questions. The answers are out there. Clearly, we are commanded to “redeem the time,” but is our way of doing that truly in line with the pattern of our Lord and His Word?
What do you think?
